Who is Kirsty Swadling?
I am a barrister and mediator with over 30 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution over a wide range of legal issues with particular emphasis on civil and family disputes.
Prior to becoming a barrister in 2004, I was litigation partner at an Auckland law firm for 11 years. I provide a quality, down to earth, easy to understand and friendly service. I work with clients to ensure that they are fully involved in the decisions relating to their legal matters by ensuring full understanding and ownership of the legal issues and processes. I am a member of the of the Family Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society and past chair of that organisation (2017 to 2020) and past Convener of the Auckland District Law Society Family Law Subcommittee. I am an experienced mediator. I am accredited to the NZLS Family Specialist Panel of Mediators and an associate member of the Arbitrators and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ). I am available to be instructed for private mediations. I am experienced in working with clients in a collaborative dispute resolution model and am a member of The Collaborative Law Association of New Zealand |
